Belmont, Down
Belmont is a suburban area in east Belfast, County Down. It is within the townland of Strandtown, in the civil parish of Holywood. The area was developed from the mid 19th century and named from Belmont House, itself replaced by Campbell College in 1894. Belmont Tower (1892) is a former primary school built in the Gothic-Revival style. The area is within the council area of Belfast.
