Bell Green, Kent

Bell Green is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in the metropolitan district of Sydenham, Kent. Once a rural hamlet to the east of Sydenham, Bell Green was the site of a major gasworks from 1851-1969. Livesey Memorial Hall (1911) was built as a social club for employees of the South Suburban Gas Company. The area is within the council area of Lewisham.
