Beauvale Priory, Nottinghamshire
Beauvale Priory is a ruined Carthusian monastery near Greasley, Nottinghamshire. The priory was founded in 1343 by Nicholas de Cantelupe (d.1355), in honour of the Blessed Trinity. Prior Robert Lawrence was martyred at Tyburn in 1535 and the house dissolved in 1539. Substantial remains of the church and attached Prior's Lodgings remain, along with remains of the gatehouse. The monument is within the council area of Broxtowe (Nottinghamshire).
