Beaumont Castle, Oxfordshire

Beaumont Castle is the earthwork remains of a motte-and-bailey castle in Mixbury, Oxfordshire. The castle was probably built by Roger d'Ivry following the Norman invasion of England. The castle was abandoned before 1216. It is within the council area of Cherwell (Oxfordshire).
