Batham Gate is the mediæval name for a Roman road which ran south-west from Templebrough on the River Don in Yorkshire to Brough-on-Noe (Latin Navio) and the spa town of Buxton (Latin Aquae Arnemetiae) in Derbyshire. A section of the route runs on an unclassified road from south-east of Peak Forest to Smalldale, in Derbyshire. This section of the road is within the council area of High Peak (Derbyshire).
