Barnet, East, Hertfordshire

East Barnet is a suburban town in Hertfordshire. East Barnet is now part of a wider suburban area and is contiguous with New Barnet to its north-west, Cockfosters (partly in Middlesex) to its east and Oakleigh Park to its south-west. From 1894-1974, for local government purposes, it formed the basis of the East Barnet Valley urban district, which also included Monken Hadley in Middlesex. East Barnet is within the council area of Barnet.
