Bar Dyke, Yorkshire
The Bar Dyke is an ancient linear embankment and adjacent ditch, located on open moorland near Bradfield, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The earthwork forms a line of demarcation across a break in a minor Millstone Grit scarp edge on the eastern side of Broomhead Moor. The monument is undated but it is usually associated with defences erected during the post-Roman period. It is within the council area of Sheffield.
