Balvaird Castle, Fife

Balvaird Castle is a tower house near Newton of Balcanquhal, Fife. Balvaird Castle is a fine example of a traditional late-mediæval Scottish tower house, built around the year 1500 for Sir Andrew Murray. It is noted for its refined architectural detail.
