Ballyoran, Armagh
Ballyoran is an urban area in Portadown, County Armagh. It is within the townland of Ballyoran, in the civil parish of Drumcree. The area around the main crossroads in Ballyoran townland was developed from the early 20th century, most of the townland forming part of the Portadown urban area by the late 20th century. Ballyoran Primary School opened in 1974. St John the Baptist's Church (RC) opened in 1977, replacing a 1783 church which had lain nearby in Selshion townland. The area is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
