Ballynagard, Londonderry

Ballynagard is a hamlet in County Londonderry. It is within the townlands of Ballynagard and Culmore, in the civil parish of Templemore. The hamlet has lain along the Londonderry to Muff road (A2) around the boundary of the two townlands since at least the early 19th century. From the late 20th century it has seen major suburban development to its south and east. It now forms part of a larger suburban area which also stretches to its north, the northern area usually described by the townland name of Culmore. The hamlet is within the council area of Derry City and Strabane.
