Ballykelly, Londonderry
Ballykelly is a large village in County Londonderry. The older parts of the village are within the townlands of Ballykelly and Drummond. The village has expanded into parts of the townlands of Walworth, Mulkeeragh and Glasvey. It is within the civil parish of Tamlaght Finlagan. The village, originally a Plantation settlement, was significantly developed by the London Company of Fishmongers through the 18th and 19th centuries. The Presbyterian Church, Drummond Hotel and North West Independent Hospital were all built by the company. The village saw considerably development in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The village is within the council area of Causeway Coast and Glens.
