Ballygalley, Antrim

Ballygalley is a village and holiday resort on the east coast of County Antrim. It is within the townland of Ballygalley, in the civil parish of Carncastle. At the start of the 20th century, Ballygalley townland comprised St Patrick's Church, the hamlet of Millvale and, next to Balleygalley Bay, the 17th-century Balleygalley Castle and a coastguard station. The village developed over the 20th century, Ballygally beach becoming a popular destination for tourists during the summer months. The village is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
