Ballydown is a village, lying on the north bank of the River Bann in County Down. It is within the townland of Ballydown, in the civil parish of Seapatrick. Although Ballydown townland remains largely rural, a nucleated settlement developed from the early 19th century around milling works on the north bank of the Bann. The present Ballydown Presbyterian Church replaced a church from 1904 which was demolished in 2019. This had replaced an 1798 church on the same site. Ballydown National School (1865) was dismantled and moved to the Ulster Folk Museum in 1980. The village is within the council area of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon.
