Ballyaughlis, Down

Ballyaughlis is a village in County Down. It is within the townland of Ballyaghlis, in the civil parish of Drumbeg. Prior to the mid 20th century, there was a hamlet around the main crossroads in Ballyaghlis townland. Since then a substantial settlement of detached dwellings has been developed to the south of the original hamlet. The village is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
