Ballee, Antrim

Ballee is a southern suburb of Ballymena, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Ballee, in the civil parish of Connor. The townland of Ballee remained largely rural until the mid 20th century, though a hamlet named Morrowstown lay along what is now the Old Antrim Road. Since the 1950s, the north-east part of the townland has seen significant suburban development, contiguous with Harryville to its north. The area is within the council area of Mid and East Antrim.
