Bakewell, Derbyshire
Bakewell is a historic market town, located on the River Wye in Derbyshire. The town lies within the peak District National Park. The town is believed to date from the Saxon period. A market was established in 1254. All Saints' Church was founded in 920, though the present building dates from the 12th century. The Old Town Hall (1602) is in neoclassical style. The town is famous for Bakewell pudding. The town is within the council area of Derbyshire Dales (Derbyshire).
