Bake Rings, Cornwall
Bake Rings is a near-circular defended settlement (a "round") near Pelynt, Cornwall. Rounds are small embanked enclosures with an external ditch, usually circular or oval. Rounds were agricultural settlements mostly constructed in the period 2nd century BC to the 4th century AD. They are most densely concentrated in west Cornwall. This round consists of an almost circular internal area, about 180ft by 160ft, defined by a bank and outer ditch. The monument is within the council area of Cornwall.
