Badbury Rings, Dorset
Badbury Rings is an Iron Age hillfort in eastern Dorset. The site dates from around 800 BC and was in use until the Roman occupation. There were two main phases of construction; the first covers 18 acres and defended by multiple ditches, while the second is more than twice the size and defended by a single ditch and rampart. The monument is in the care of the National Trust. It is within the council area of Dorset.
