Aves Ditch, Oxfordshire
Aves Ditch (aka Ash Bank, or Wattle Bank) is an Iron Age ditch and bank structure which runs for about three miles on a north-east to south-west alignment near Middleton Stoney in Oxfordshire. Once believed to be a Roman road, excavation has shown it to be a boundary dyke of the Iron Age that was reused in the Anglo-Saxon period. It is within the council area of Cherwell (Oxfordshire).
