Aston Hall, Warwickshire
Aston Hall is a Jacobean mansion in Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Considered a leading example of the Jacobean prodigy house, it was designed by John Thorpe and built between 1618-1635 for Sir Thomas Holte. The house was purchased in 1858 by the Aston Hall and Park Company for use as a public park and museum. It was bought by Birmingham Corporation in 1864. It is within the council area of Birmingham.
