Asthall Manor House, Oxfordshire
Asthall Manor House is an early 17th-century manor house at Asthall, Oxfordshire. The house was built for Sir William Jones around 1620. It was bought by Lord Redesdale in 1919 and was the home of the Mitford family from 1919-1926. Nancy Mitford's childhood at Asthall was her inspiration for "Love in a Cold Climate" and "Pursuit of Love". The house is within the council area of West Oxfordshire (Oxfordshire).
