Assembly's College, Antrim

The Assembly's College (main building) is a mid 19th-century theological college building in south Belfast, County Antrim. It is within the townland of Malone Lower, in the civil parish of Shankill. The college was founded in 1853 as the theological college for the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The Renaissance Revival style main building with its grand Doric porch and Baroque attic was designed by Sir Charles Lanyon and built with Scrabo stone. The college became known as the Union Theological College from 1976. It is within the council area of Belfast.
