South Ashford is an urban area in Ashford, Kent. The area was first developed following the coming of the railway to Ashford in 1842 and the opening of a nearby railway works in 1847. Christ Church was opened in 1867. The area then saw substantial 20th-century development. It is within the council area of Ashford (Kent).
