Arthur's Stone, Glamorgan

Arthur's Stone (or Maen Ceri) is the remains of a ringcairn with a burial chamber in the middle, situated on Cefn Bryn Common, near Reynoldston on the Gower peninsular, Glamorgan. The burial chamber has a huge capstone. According to legend, King Arthur found a pebble in his shoe when he was passing through Carmarthenshire on his way to the battle of Camlann. He stopped, removed the stone, and threw it as far as he could. It fell, on Cefn Bryn, seven miles away. It is within the council area of Swansea.
