Apethorn Farmhouse, Cheshire

Apethorn Farmhouse was originally a cruck-framed farmhouse and shippon (a livestock shelter) near Gee Cross, Hyde in Cheshire. The structure was likely built between 1522 and 1542. There are four surviving trusses as well as some original purlins and ridge-pieces. It is on the 'Buildings at Risk' register. It is within the council area of Tameside.
