Antonine Wall, Lanarkshire

The Antonine Wall was a defensive fortification built by the Romans between the Firth of Clyde (Old Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire) and the Firth of Forth (Carriden, West Lothian). A well preserved section of the wall runs to the north of Easter Balmuidy in Lanarkshire. This section is within the council area of City of Glasgow.
