Annsborough, Down

Annsborough is a small village in County Down. It is within the townlands of Ballylough, Ballybannan, Dundrinne and Clarkill, in the civil parish of Kilmegan. The settlement dates from the mid 19th century when the Murland brothers, owners of the Annsborough linen factory, built the village to accommodate the factory's workers. There is also significant 20th century housing development. The village is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
