Angell Town, Surrey
Angell Town is an urban area in the metropolitan district of Brixton, Surrey. Angell Town was built up in the early 19th century as a desirable estate for the new middle classes. The church of St John the Evangelist (1853) was designed by Benjamin Ferrey in the Perpendicular style. Most of the old town was redeveloped in the 1970s as the Angell Town Estate. The area is within the council area of Lambeth.
