Alvaston, Derbyshire
Alvaston is a suburban village lying to the south-east of Derby, Derbyshire. The village has existed since at least as far as the 11th century but expanded rapidly from the second half of the 19th century. It is now sometimes considered a suburb of Derby. St Michael and All Angels' Church (C of E) dates from 1855, replacing an earlier church. It is within the council area of Derby.
