Alperton, Middlesex

Alperton is a former village that is now an urban area in the south-west of Wembley, Middlesex. The earliest reference is to 'Alprinton' from 1199. The Grand Junction Canal arrived in 1801, followed by the establishment of brickworks. The area was fully developed from the 1920s, following the building of the North Circular Road to tis south. It is within the council area of Brent.
