Aldersbrook, Essex
Aldersbrook is an Edwardian housing estate in the south of Wanstead, Essex. It is named after the mediæval Manor of Aldersbrook, the manor itself having been named after the Alders Brook. The area was developed to the south of Wanstead Park with more than a thousand homes built by 1910. St Gabriel’s church was completed in 1914. The area is within the council area of Redbridge.
