Aldborough Hatch, Essex
Aldborough Hatch is a suburban village in Essex, lying on the north-eastern outskirts of Ilford. It lay at the south of Hainault Forest until large-scale deforestation in the mid 19th century. It remained a hamlet until suburban development in the inter-war period. The church of St Peter (1862) was designed by Arthur Ashpitel in a 13th-century style. The area is within the council area of Redbridge.
