Albrighton, Shropshire
Albrighton is a large village in Shropshire. It stands close to the county's border with Staffordshire, to the north-west of Wolverhampton, to which it serves as a commuter village. It is listed in Domesday as as 'Albricston'. The parish church, built of red sandstone in the Norman style, is dedicated to St Mary Magdalene and was completed in around 1181. The village is within the council area of Shropshire.
