Albion, Staffordshire

Albion is an urban area in the west of West Bromwich, Staffordshire. It had been developed as an industrial area alongside the Birmingham Canal by the early 19th century. The 'Albion' in West Bromwich Albion FC is taken from the area, it being where many of the player lived and worked when the club was renamed in 1880. It remains primarily an industrial area. It is within the council area of Sandwell.
