Alberbury Castle, Shropshire

Alberbury Castle is a ruined 13th-century castle in the village of Alberbury, Shropshire. It it was probably built in the 13th century by Fulk FitzWarin during the reign of Richard I, as a barrier to stop the Welsh onslaught and to retain control of the passes along the River Severn. It is within the council area of Shropshire.
