Akroydon, Yorkshire

Akroydon is an urban locality in the Boothtown area of Halifax, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. Akroydon is a Victorian model housing scheme which was designed in the Gothic style by George Gilbert Scott in 1859 for the workers at the mills of Edward Akroyd. It is within the council area of Calderdale.
