Aghalee, Antrim

Aghalee is a village in County Antrim. It is within the townland of Killough, in the civil parish of Aghalee. Aghalee's development was due to its location beside the Lagan Navigational Canal which opened at the end of the 18th century. The ruins of Aghalee Old Church and cemetery lie a short distance north-east of the village. The village is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
