Adlington Park is an extensive woodland park in Lancashire. The Adlington manor estate belonged to the Adlington family and sold to the Clayton family in 1688. It was the site of Adlington Hall, built in the 1770s and demolished in the 1960s. Two lodges and the entrance pillars originally survived, but one lodge has since been replaced by a modern house. In 1921 the hall and 129 acres of land were bought by Wigan Corporation to protect the town's water supply. During the 1930s the family of Monks-Gaskell lived at the hall and during the Second World War it was used to house Spanish soldiers who had fled to England after the Spanish Civil War. The parkland has fine specimen trees and ornamental grounds. It is within the council area of Chorley (Lancashire).
