Addlestone is a town lying on The Bourne in the north of Surrey. It was listed as "Attelsdene" in 1241 and on John Speed's 1610 map as "Adleston". Addlestone is home to the ancient Crouch Oak tree, under which it is claimed Elizabeth I picnicked. The town is within the council area of Runnymede (Surrey).
