Addiscombe, Surrey
Addiscombe is an urban area in the east of Croydon, Surrey. Once a Tudor country estate, from 1809-1863 it was the site for Addiscombe Military Seminary. The sale of the seminary accelerated the urbanisation of the area, making it effectively a part of the growing town of Croydon. The area is within the council area of Croydon.
