Aberdare, Glamorgan
Aberdare (Welsh: Aberdâr) is a town in Glamorgan, lying within the Cynon Valley where the Rivers Dare and Cynon meet. During the 19th century it became a thriving industrial settlement, which was also notable for the vitality of its cultural life and as an important publishing centre. The town is within the council area of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
