Abbot's Fish House, Somerset
The Abbot's Fish House is a 14th-century monastic fishery building at Meare, Somerset. The rectangular stone Fish House is believed to have been constructed in 1322-1335 for the storage and processing of fish for Glastonbury Abbey. The fishponds which surround the house are believed to be much older, possibly being those referred to in Meare in Domesday. It is within the council area of Somerset.
